Storm Update – Park and Overnight Accommodations Closed 

Effective Oct. 1, 2024: To help ensure the safety of visitors and staff, the park and any associated overnight accommodations are closed due to Hurricane Helene. The Florida State Parks reservation team will email guests with affected reservations to make alternate arrangements or issue refunds. Letchworth-Love Mounds Archaeological State Park

Florida’s tallest Native American Ceremonial Mound stands protected and preserved for all to enjoy

Boardwalk Closed

Effective July 7, 2023: The boardwalk near the large mound at Letchworth-Love Mounds Archaeological State Park is closed for repair.

Hours

8 a.m. to sundown, 365 days a year.

$3 per vehicle. Please use the honor box to pay fees.

Welcome to Letchworth-Love Mounds Archaeological State Park

Visitors to this archaeological site will see Florida's tallest Native American ceremonial mound, built between 1,100 and 1,800 years ago.  


Pay Online, Single-Use Day Pass

The park offers picnicking, birding and hiking. The pavilion has interpretive displays and a bronze sculpture of the mound. 

An interpretive trail starts at the base of the ceremonial mound and winds past several smaller mounds.

The pavilion picnic area and platform viewing area for the mound are wheelchair-accessible. Guided tours are available upon request.

Native American Ceremonial Mound

Letchworth-Love Mounds Archaeological State Park preserves an archaeological mound complex that includes at least 7 earth mounds. The largest is Florida’s tallest Native American ceremonial mound, which stands at approximately 51 feet tall and 300 feet wide at the base.
