Hurricane Helene

The latest information on any impacts to state parks will be posted here.

Effective Oct. 1, 2024: To help ensure the safety of visitors and staff, Florida State Parks is assessing the impacts from Hurricane Helene. The following parks have been affected by the storm.

Park Closures, including any associated overnight accommodations:

  2. Big Shoals State Park (Hamilton, Columbia counties).
  3. Caladesi Island State Park (Pinellas County).
  4. Cayo Costa State Park (Lee County).
  5. Cedar Key Museum State Park (Levy County).
  6. Cedar Key Scrub State Reserve (Levy County).
  7. Crystal River Archaeological State Park (Citrus County).
  8. Crystal River Preserve State Park (Citrus County).
  9. Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park (Collier County).
  10. Dr. Julian G. Bruce St. George Island State Park (Franklin County).
  11. Dudley Farm Historic State Park (Alachua County).
  12. Econfina River State Park (Taylor County).
  13. Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park (Citrus County).
  14. Forest Capital Museum State Park (Taylor County).
  15. Gasparilla Island State Park (Lee County).
  16. George Crady Bridge Fishing Pier State Park (Nassau, Duval counties).
  17. Honeymoon Island State Park (Pinellas County).

  19. Ichetucknee Trace (Columbia County).
  20. Lafayette Blue Springs State Park (Lafayette County).
  21. Letchworth-Love Mounds Archaeological State Park (Jefferson County).
  22. Lovers Key State Park (Lee County).
  23. Madison Blue Spring State Park (Madison County).
  24. Manatee Springs State Park (Levy County).
  25. Nature Coast State Trail (Dixie, Gilchrist, Levy counties).
  26. O'Leno State Park (Alachua, Columbia counties).
  27. Rainbow Springs State Park (Marion County).
  28. River Rise Preserve State Park (Alachua, Columbia counties).
  29. Ruth B. Kirby Gilchrist Blue Springs State Park (Gilchrist County).
  30. San Felasco Hammock Preserve State Park (Alachua County).
  31. San Marcos de Apalache Historic State Park (Wakulla County).
  32. Skyway Fishing Pier State Park (Pinellas, Hillsborough, Manatee counties).
  33. Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park (Hamilton, Columbia counties).
  34. Stump Pass Beach State Park (Charlotte County).
  35. Suwannee River State Park (Hamilton, Madison, Suwannee counties).
  36. Suwannee River Wilderness Trail (Dixie, Hamilton, Lafayette, Suwannee counties) including the following River Camps: Adams Tract River Camp (Lafayette County), Peacock Slough River Camp (Lafayette County) and Woods Ferry River Camp (Suwannee County).
  37. Troy Spring State Park (Lafayette County).
  38. Waccasassa Bay Preserve State Park (Levy County).
  39. Werner-Boyce Salt Springs State Park (Pasco County).
  40. Wes Skiles Peacock Springs State Park (Suwannee County).
